Lisa 1951 - 2006 SPRINGFIELD - Sharon E. (Hancock) Mumley, 55, of Springfield joined God in eternal peace on Sunday morning September 10, 2006 at home. Sharon was employed with the Peter Pan Bus Company of Springfield for the past 25 years as an executive administrative assistant. Born in Palmer on April 25, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Clifton and Margaret (Salter) Hancock. She was a graduate of Ludlow High School in 1969 and had attended St. John's Business School. She was a resident of Ludlow and Monson for over 30 years and for the past 25 years had resided between West Springfield and Springfield. She was a member of the Christian Life Center in Springfield and was an avid reader. Sharon enjoyed traveling with her husband. She belonged to the Christian Bible Study Group and also was a former Girl Scout leader. Sharon is survived by her husband of 23 years, Gary J. Mumley; her son, Mike D. Nadeau and his wife Adreanna of Westfield; her daughters, Connie J. (Nadeau) Casagrande of Feeding Hills, and Nicole Sikora and her husband Edward of Port Richey, FL; her grandchildren, Ryan Casagrande and Brooke Sikora; her brothers, Glenn Hancock of Springfield, Jon Hancock and his wife Kate of Whately, and Jeffrey Hancock and his wife Deb of Ashford, CT; her sisters, Holly Hancock of Gray, TN, and Lori Dugay and her fiancé Rob Frisbee of Springfield; and her many nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her dear cats, Foofur and Tocchet. Family and friends are asked to gather on Wednesday morning September 13 at 10 a.m. for a Celebration of Sharon's Life at the Christian Life Center, 1590 Sumner Avenue with Rites of Committal to follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street, both in Springfield. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road in Springfield. Jennifer Dickinson attended the bride as matron of honor. Gregory Mackintosh served the bridegroom as best man. The bride received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Western New England College, Springfield. She is a police officer with the City of Springfield. The bridegroom is a graduate of Springfield College and Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn. He is a certified physician's assistant with New England Orthopedic Surgeons in Springfield.
