Fortier, 53, of 25 Fletcher St., Tonawanda, Monday (June 4, 1956) in Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, after a long illness. Born in Schenley, Canada, he had lived in Tonawanda six years and was a member of St. Francis Church. His wife, Amanda Cote Fortier, died in August 1952. Surviving are two sons, Norman and Cyrille Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. William Bowers, and six grandchildren, all of the Tonawandas. Four brothers and eight sisters out of town also survive. Friends may call at Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St., where services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and at 9 at St. Francis Church, the Rev. Wilbur Yeager officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
