Madeleine Ruel > Antoine + M. Madeleine Cadieux > Noel + Marthe Golle Armand H. Fortier, 85 Foreman Armand H. Fortier, 85, of Granby, died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at the Holyoke Soldiers' Home. He retired as a foreman from the former Texon Co. (now Rexham Graphics of South Hadley). He also farmed in Granby and Belchertown. He spent most of his life in Granby. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served as a technical sergeant in the 28th Ordnance Company in the Pacific Theater. He took part in the New Guinea and Bismarck Archipelago campaigns and received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon and a Victory Medal. He leaves a brother, Rene R. of Whitehall, Pa.; and his longtime friend, Irma Dufault of South Hadley. The funeral was Thursday, May 6, 1999, at the ARTHUR J. BRUNELLE FUNERAL HOME in Willimansett and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby with burial in Precious Blood Cemetery in South Hadley. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church Remembrance Fund, in care of the rectory at 256 State St., Granby MA 01033.
