TAVARES, 82, of Pond Street, died Saturday at Kent County Memorial Hospital, Warwick. She was the wife of the late Anthony Tavares Jr. Born on Oct. 31, 1921, in Plainfield, Conn., a daughter of the late Edmond Langevin and Exilia (Mailloux) Langevin, she had lived most of her life in West Warwick. She leaves two sons, Anthony J. Tavares of West Greenwich and Steven M. Tavares of West Warwick; two daughters, June Tabeld of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sandra L. Hostetler of West Warwick; a brother, Oliver Langevin of West Warwick; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. from Prata Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., with a Mass at 9:15 in St. John The Baptist Church, Washington Street, West Warwick. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
