Langevin, 85, of Rumford died Tuesday night at the Rumford Community Home, where he had been a resident for four years. Born in Lewiston, son of Pierre and Vita Langevin, he attended Berlin N.H. , schools and served in the Army during World War II. He married Cecile Roy, who died in February of 1996. A resident of this community for the past 60 years, he was a worker and part-owner of the Ferland Dairy before his retirement. Survivors include two sons, Sylvio of Limington and Raymond A. of Torrington, N.J.; three daughters, Mrs Gil (Louise) Gilmano and Mrs Vito (Barbara) Umbro, both of Scarborough, and Mrs Percival (Claire) Jordan of Falmouth; a sister, Alphonsine Lambert of Rumford; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at S.G. Thibault Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Theresa's Church. Mexico. She was born in Berlin, N.H., a daughter of Thomas and Maryanne Royer Roy, and attended schools there. A resident of this community since 1935, Mrs. Langevin was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church, and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Legion of Mary Sodality. She was a cook at the Mexico Chicken Coop and also a seamstress at the Delle Shoppe in Rumford. Surviving besides her husband, Sylvio J. Langevin, of Mexico, are two sons: Sylvio of Limington and Raymond A. Langevin of Yardville, N.J.; three daughters, Louise Gilman of Cornish, Mrs. Len (Claire) Jordon of Cumberland and Mrs. Vito (Barbara) Umbro of Standish; three brothers, Raymond Roy of Quebec City and Albert and Roland Roy, both of Hamilton, Ont.; three sisters, Mrs. Fern (Bernadette) Dugas of Largo, Fla.., Mrs. Lorenzo (Justine) LaBonte and Germaine LaBonte, both of Sherbrooke, Quebec; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Theresa's Church. Spring burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Rumford. Arrangements are by S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
