He is the sixth of eight children born to Duane and Pauline Bergevin. Isaac is survived by his parents and siblings, Noah (Heather) of South Carolina, Jessica (Stephen) Phair, Jocelyn, Jonah, all of Utah, Aaron and Hannah of Salem. Isaac attended school in Salem, attending Mary Eyre Elementary, Houck Middle School, and North Salem High School, graduating in 2002. As a child and teenager, Isaac was active in sports through the school and city organized leagues. He loved playing baseball, basketball, soccer, and tennis. Not only was he a great athlete, but a huge fan of his teammates and high school sports teams. He was also involved in scouting from a young age and worked hard to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Isaac, along with his family, was active in the Four Corners Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he became passionate about the Gospel of Christ, and an experienced Scriptorian. Following high school, he devoted two years to proselyte and serve a mission in the Yekaterinburg, Russia mission for the L.D.S. Church. Isaac had a passion for literature, both classical and contemporary, and was a writer himself. He also loved music, was active in marching and ensemble bands in school, and was a member of the local band, The Golf Team. Isaacs outgoing and genuine personality made him instant friends wherever he went. With his zany sense of humor, he was never afraid to play the clown or a part in any silly scheme. With his firm faith, he was sure in his direction and purpose. With his childlike love he accepted others, was a loyal friend and a great comforter. With his example, he showed us how to live a full life every day. Isaac left this world early Sunday, July 3, 2005, in a car accident on his way from California to Oregon to spend the holiday with his family. The Bergevin family would like to thank all those whose prayers and concern have been with them in this time of grief. Services will be at 10 a.m., Sat., July 9 at the L.D.S. Church at 862 45th Ave. N.E., Salem, Ore. Interment will be at Stipp Cemetery in Macleay.
