Josephte Parent > Louis + Marguerite Tessier > Jean + Marie Piton Addison Independant LOUIS BERGEVIN WEYBRIDGE Louis Bergevin, 93, died on Sunday, April 17, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, as a result of a tractor accident. He was born on Dec. 20, 1911, in Ontario, Canada, the son of Victor and Rose (Lamoureux) Bergevin. On Oct. 6, 1936, he married Jeanne Desforges and they moved to Whiting, where they lived for 11 years. They also lived in Brandon, before moving to Middlebury in 1955. Jeanne predeceased him on March 17, 2005. He was a dairy farmer and a carpenter, as well as a used equipment dealer. He loved auctions and repairing things, and enjoyed building furniture for his grandchildren. He loved his family very much, and he will be dearly missed. He was a member of St. Marys Church in Middlebury, and had been a member of Knights of Columbus for over 30 years. He is survived by four sons, Victor and his wife, Patricia, of Middlebury, Yvon and his wife, Karen, of Potomac, Md., Andre and his partner, Carol, of East Middlebury, and Bernard of Bridport; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leon and his wife, Aline, and Emile and his wife, Gabrielle, all of Ontario, Canada. He was predeceased by a sister, Laura Ranger, in 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Church in Middlebury, with burial at St. Marys Cemetery. Jeanne Bergevin WEYBRIDGE -- Jeanne Bergevin, 89, passed away at Helen Porter Nursing Home on March 17, 2005. She was born on March 28, 1915, in Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Osias and Odile (Brunet) Desforges. On Oct. 6, 1936, she married Louis Bergevin, and they moved to Whiting where they lived for 11 years. They also lived in Brandon before moving to Middlebury in 1955. Jeanne was a homemaker who loved to cook, and also loved spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Middlebury. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years; four sons, Victor and his wife, Patricia, of Middlebury, Yvon and his wife, Karen, of Potomac, Md., Andre and his partner, Carol, of East Middlebury, and Bernard of Bridport; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Yvette Desforges, and a sister-in-law, Lucille Desforges, both of Canada. She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Ludovic, Leo, Rolland and Joseph; and five sisters, Dora LaRocque, Lillianne Rainville, Simonne Siquin, Ludovica Longtin, and Blanche Lortie.
