Bergevin, PEMBROKE - World War IIveteran worked for Anchor Electric PEMBROKE -- Maurice W. Bergevin, 79, of Broadway, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at home. The son of Antonio and Alice (Rivard) Bergevin, Mr. Bergevin was born in Allenstown on Feb. 2, 1925. He spent his early life in Allenstown and had spent 30 years in Northwood before moving to Pembroke in the late 1990s. Prior to his retirement, he had spent more than 35 years with Anchor Electric in Manchester. He was also a World War II Navy veteran. He was the widower of Doris R. (Courchesne) Bergevin, who died in 2002 and to whom he had been married 56 years. He is survived by a daughter, Irene Ayers of Hooksett; a granddaughter, Christina Quinlan of Naperville, Ill.; a grandson, Jonathan Ayers of Providence, R.I.; two great-grandsons, Patrick and Brady Quinlan; a brother, Lucien Bergevin of Laguna Hills, Calif.; four sisters, Laurette and her husband, Earl Kimball, Lillian and her husband, Lucien Boisvert, and Madeleine Clement, all of Allenstown, and Lorraine Stewart of Saco, Maine. He was predeceased by five other siblings, Germaine Girard, Gerard Bergevin, Lena Courtemanche, Lucille LaPierre and Donald Bergevin. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. The Rev. Donald Clinton, pastor, will be officiating. Burial will be held in the spring in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice Home Health Care, P.O. Bergevin, 77, of Broadway, died Sunday at Concord Hospital <http://www.concordhospital.org> after a long illness. She was born in Pembroke, the daughter of Irenee and Alice (Belanger) Courchesne. She lived in the Pembroke-Allenstown area most of her life and lived in Northwood for a few years. She graduated from St. Jean Baptiste School in Allenstown. Bergevin worked at the Suncook Mills, Raytheon Inc. and Northern Telecom, retiring in 1987. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, especially rug braiding. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Maurice Bergevin of Pembroke; a daughter, Irene Ayers of Hooksett; a sister, Pauline Labrie of Pembroke; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Calling hours will not be held. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church. The Rev. Wilfred Deschamps, pastor, will be celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
