Josephte Parent > Louis + Marguerite Tessier > Jean + Marie Piton Yakima Herald-Republic, June 15, 1997 Molalla OR--humbert J "Bert" Bergevin, 80, a longtime Molalla Oregon resident, passed away Sunday, June 8, 1997 at Molalla. Bert was born December 28, 1916 in Moxee, to George and Deliza (Poulin) Bergevin. He was raised in Moxee and married Dorothy LaMoine in 1940. The couple moved to Molalla in 1941. Bert worked in the logging industry for many years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, elk hunting and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bergevin of Molalla; his son, Bruce Bergevin of Canby, Oregon; one brother, Dean Bergevin of Toppenish and one sister, Leona Weinel of Spokane. Bert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy McKown and Esther Hahn and by four brothers, Stanley, Kermit, Amos and Dan Bergevin. Funeral Services and inurnment were held in Molalla. Dorothy E. Bergevin A funeral Mass for Dorothy Edna Bergevin will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at St. James Catholic Church in Molalla where she was a member. Burial will follow at Adams Cemetery near Molalla. Born March 4, 1919, in Seattle, Mrs. Bergevin died Jan. 13, at age 81. Her maiden name was LeMoine. She married Humbert Bergevin on Feb. 1, 1940, and they moved to Molalla in 1941. She had been living at Canby's Serene Assisted Living since September 2000. Survivors include a son, Bruce of Canby; a sister, Aurora Trampush of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; and a brother, Jack LeMoine of Olalla, Wash. Her husband died on June 8, 1997.
