Madeleine Cadieux > Noel + Marthe Golle Union News, Springfield, MA 2999-12-4 Emile Fortier ENFIELD, Conn. - Emile Fortier, 65, of this town, died Friday in Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs. He started working in a local bakery in Maine as a teenager and became area manager for the Whole Donut in Enfield where he worked for 18 years. Born in Lewiston, Maine, he lived in Enfield for the past 14 years and prior to that he lived in Hartford for many years. He leaves his wife, the former Ruby Ouellette; two sons, Thomas of Concord, N.C. and Paul of Windsor Locks; two daughters, JoAnn Thompson of Somers and Patricia Haglund of Windsor Locks; two brothers, Bertrand of California and Marcel of East Hartford; two sisters, Patricia Lessard of Newington and Jeannine Turner of Enfield; and nine grandchildren. A son, Daniel, died in 1963. The memorial service will be Thursday morning at St. Patrick's Church, Enfield, with burial in Hazardville Cemetery. There are no calling hours and the family requests that no flowers be sent to the Fortier residence. Ruby J. Fortier 1936 - 2003 WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. Ruby J. (Ouellette) Fortier, 67, of South Center St., Windsor Locks, Conn. found peace in Gods loving arms on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003. She will be laid to rest at the side of her husband, Emile, who went to prepare a place for them in heaven on Dec. 1, 2000. On Wed., Sept 3, 2003, the day of their 48th wedding anniversary, they will once again start a life together for eternity. Ruby is survived by her children, JoAnn M. Thompson of Somers, Conn., Thomas R. Fortier and his wife, Genie, of Concord, N.C., Paul L. Fortier and his wife, Vicki, of Windsor Locks, Conn. and Patricia A. Haglund and her husband, Eric, of Windsor Locks, Conn. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Raymond Ouellette of Calif., Shirley Cloutier of Colo., Robert Ouellette of Ala., Marge Bisson of Maine and Roderick Ouellette of Tenn.; her grandchildren, Sara, Kristen and Julie Thompson, Daniel and Paul Fortier, Paige Fortier and Courtney, Mallory, Jacob and Adam Haglund. She is predeceased by her son, Daniel Fortier.
