Madeleine Cadieux > Noel + Marthe Golle Union Leader 1999-9-14 Woodsville - Ida (Fortier) Foote, 92, of 134 Harmony Acres died Sept. 13, 1999, in her home after a brief illness. Born in Pike on Oct. 13, 1906, she was the daughter of Cyrille and Mary A. (DeRosia) Fortier. She lived for a time in East Haverhill. In 1927, she graduated from Cottage Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Mrs. Foote worked as a nurse for Cottage Hospital, Woodsville; Grafton County Hospital, North Haverhill; and the New Hampshire State Sanitarium, Glencliff, where she worked 18 years as the supervisor of nursing before reting in 1969. Mrs. Foote was a member of the New Hampshire State Employees Association; Cottage Hospital Nurses' Association; and attended North Haverhill Methodist Church. She was married to Clyde Foote, who died June 11, 1992. Family members include three daughters, Beth Salas of Plainfield, Conn., Bette Ann Arnold of Lebanon, and Sandra Guyette of Vergennes, Vt.; a son, Lloyd Foote of Woodsville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Wheeler of Woodsville and Blanche Kelley of New Britain, Conn.; Two brothers, Fred Fortier and Leo Fortier, both of North Haverhill; nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral is Friday at 10 a.m. in the Ricker Funeral Home, Woodsville. Burial will be in Horsemeadow Cemetery, North Haverhill.
