VIAU, Ernest Roger Veteran 1939-45 (R.C.A.M.C. General Hospital # 18), Member of Institut Canadien Francais, Knight of Columbus Member (Council 5571), Member of Old Age Club and Cercle de l'Amical Tremblay of Ottawa Passed away at the Montfort Hospital on October 10, 2007 at the age of 90. Son of the late Aime Viau and the late Emilie Latreille. Loving husband of 1st marriage of the the late Lucine Leclerc and 2nd marriage of Ghislaine Lebeau and friend of the late Francoise Brodie. He will be missed by his children Bernard (Janise Brochu) of Gatineau, Roger Viau (Julie Pichette) of Ville de la Baie, Gabrielle (Tom Wood) of Detroit and Louise Viau (Serge Yelle) of Gatineau. He will also be missed by 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his brother Rheal (Adrienne St-Germain), his sisters Jeanne (late Lucien Renaud), Anita (late Delval Legault), his step-brothers Rodolphe (late Rosette St-Germain) and Palma (late Catherine Gillespie). There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Marie-Mediatrice Church at 2 p.m. The family will be present at the church to receive condolences at 1:30 p.m. In memory of Mr. Viau, donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
