Maloney, Michael James (#60, Montreal Alouettes) With profound sadness, the family of Mike Maloney announces his sudden passing from heart failure at his home in Ottawa at the age of 58. Beloved son of Theresa Fahey and the late Hilary Maloney. Survived by his sister Carmel and brother Garnett of Ottawa, sister Virginia Maloney (Al Pleinis) of Toronto, and sister Carolina Maloney of Drumheller, Alberta. Predeceased in 1971 by his brother Brian Maloney, a detective with the Ottawa Police Department. Will be missed by his best friend of many years Greg Moses, and by his numerous relatives; uncle, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and grand nephew and grand nieces. Mike's happiest days were his football years with the Ottawa Sooners and as an Alouette linesman. He treasured those years and his team mates greatly.
