Hill, 84, formerly of Oxford, passed away on October 11 at the home of her daughter, following a long illness. She was born April 6, 1923 to Irville A. and Susan (Barrows) Armstrong in Memoramcook, New Brunswick, Canada.<BR><br>In 1928, her family moved to So. Lancaster, Mass., where she received her education. Irma graduated from South Lancaster Academy and attended Atlantic Union College.<BR><br>She was married to Paul L. Hill on August 15, 1942 in Boylston, Mass. The couple lived for many years in Worcester and Auburn, Mass., where they raised their three children. She took an active role in youth groups such as Cubs Scouts and Pathfinders.<BR><br>Irma was manager of Sydenstricker Galleries in Brewster, Mass. and Lake Worth, Florida over a sixteen-year period.<BR><br>Her love for New England brought her back to Maine where she enjoyed living by her beloved lake in Oxford. She then managed the gift shop at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston until her retirement.<BR><br>She was a lifelong craft enthusiast, an avid reader and lover of animals and all nature.<BR><br>Irma is survived by her daughter, Carol and her husband Roy Henrickson of Rangeley Plantation; son, Theodore of No. Oxford, Mass.; and son, David of Yarmouthport, Mass.; five grandchildren: Julie Bergeron and husband Cliff of Oxford, Eric Henrickson of Morgantown, W. Virginia, Nicole Finne and husband Jason of Ware, Mass., Scott Hill and wife Liz of Worcester, Mass. and Jamie Hill of Millbury, Mass.; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters: Ethel Lloyd and Genevieve Sutphin.<BR><br>The family would like to express special thanks to William Medd, M.D. and his staff, Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Home Care for Maine for all the care and support given to Irma.<BR><br>A graveside service and interment will be held at Eastwood Cemetery in Lancaster, Mass. on Monday, October 15 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Irma's memory to Androscogggin Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 819, 15 Strawberry Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04243-0819.
