Fortier, 89, of 600 South Beach St., Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Leominster, died Friday in Indigo Manor Nursing Home, Daytona Beach, after an illness. She leaves a nephew, Marcus A. Fortier Sr. of Edgewater, Fla.; three nieces, Janice Zephir of Leominster, Olivine B. Austin of Mendon and Lorraine McGrath of East Taunton; grandnephews and grandnieces. She was born in Leominster, daughter of Cyprien A. and Cora M. (Tetreault) Fortier, and lived many years in the New York City area before returning here. She then lived here many years before moving to Florida in 1990. She graduated from Columbia University in New York City. Miss Fortier was an executive paymaster at Shell Petroleum Corp. in New York City for many years before she retired. She was a former member of St. Cecilia's Church. The funeral will be held Tuesday from M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St. Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.
