Published in the Lowell Sun on 11/25/2006. Harold V. Tessier LOWELL -- Harold V. Tessier, 78, a resident of Lowell, died Thursday evening, Nov. 23, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Edith F. (McDermott) Tessier, with whom he celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in May. He was born in Lowell, April 5, 1928, son of the late Alderic and Yvonne (Perreault) Tessier He resided in the Pawtucketville section of the city for many years. He was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church and St. Rita Church. Mr. Tessier was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Before retiring, Mr. Tessier was employed by the city of Lowell Water Department, for several years. Previously, he was employed as a route supervisor with Hood Dairy, Lowell Dairy and West Lynn Creamery, for many years. Mr. Tessier was an avid gardener and sports fan and especially enjoyed football and bowling. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marie Tessier, and Carol A. and William R. Ducharme, all of Dracut; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William J. Tessier of Pepperell, and David J. and Ellen Tessier of Lowell; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and John Britton, and Jacqueline and Maurice Archambault, all of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Constance Tessier of Lowell; five grandchildren, Valerie Tessier of Pepperell, Kristin and Justin Ducharme, both of Dracut, Adam and Sara Tessier, both of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the grandfather of William Tessier, Jr. who died in 2003, and brother of the late Roger A. Tessier.
