She was predeceased by her beloved husband and son, Alexander Kretchen and James R. Kretchen. Born in Haverhill, NH, Mrs. Kretchen was a New Britain resident for most of her life and was a member of All Saints Church, New Britain, and its Ladies Guild. She retired from TLC Oil Co., Hartford, after many years of employment. Mrs. Kretchen is survived by three sisters, Ida Foote, Eva Wheeler, both of Woodsville, NH, Blanche Kelley, of New Britain; two brothers, Fred Fortier and Leo Fortier, both of North Haverhill, NH; a daughter-in-law, Ermine Kretchen, of New Britain; two grandsons, Michael and his wife Jill Russo, and Denis Russo; two great grandsons, Daryn and Benjamin; several nieces and nephews; a devoted friend, Hilda Warnock, of New Britain. Funeral services will be Monday, 9:15 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at All Saints Church. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday 5-8 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
