Hospital. Donald R. Cumming was born Nov. 12, 1937, the son of Russell and Lydia (Eisner) Cumming, in Grand Forks. He grew up and graduated from high school in East Grand Forks, in 1956. He joined the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959. He returned to East Grand Forks and worked as a welder. He married Alice Fortier on July 1, 1961, in East Grand Forks. He worked for the city of East Grand Forks from 1962 to 1994 in the street department. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Chris Cumming, Fargo; sons, Keith and Tim, both of Warroad, Minn.; and a brother, Jim Cummings. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Keith. Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks. Visitation: One hour before services in the funeral home. Burial: Nisbet Cemetery, rural East Grand Forks. Military rites: East Grand Forks American Legion No. 157 and East Grand Forks Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 3817.
