Anna Fortier, 85, of Plainville, formerly of Bristol, widow of Joseph Scaramuzza and Argee Fortier, died Friday (July 19, 1996) at the Plainville Health Care. She was born July 26, 1910, in Calabra, Italy, daughter of the late Salvatore and Domenica (Cimino) Sgro. Mrs. Fortier came to Bristol at an early age, and had recently moved to Plainville. She was a member of St. Gregory Church, Bristol. She is survived by a son, Anthony Scaramuzza of Bristol; two daughters, Lucille Hohstadt of Terryville, Ann Fanion of Bristol; a sister, Ernestine St. Pierre of Cathedral City, CA; seven grandchildren, Anthony Scaramuzza Jr., Daniel Scaramuzza, Tina Scaramuzza, Cindy Hohstadt, Marc Fanion, Jaqueline Sanchez, Wendy Burke; a great-granddaughter, Briana Emily Sanchez; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9 a.m., from the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville, to St. Gregory Church, 10 a.m., for a Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call Monday, 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
