''Frank'' Morano, 82, died Saturday at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Marjorie E. (Fortier) Morano. Mr. Morano was born and raised in Brockton and remained a lifelong resident there. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1941 and from Wentworth Institute in 1943. During World War II he was a sergeant with the 7th Army in Europe, attached to the 3rd Army and Gen. George Patton. Mr. Morano was a retired electrician from IBEW Local 223 in Brockton, where he was past president, business manager and an officer. He was also a past president of the retirees of the electricians local. For many years he worked at the former MB Foster and was general foreman at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Plymouth. He was active in the VFW Post 1046, the DAV Post 26, AARP and Self Help, all in Brockton. He was a longtime volunteer at St. Paul's Kitchen, making meals and feeding the homeless. He also sponsored parties for the shut-ins at Brockton VA Medical Center. He was a member and board director of the Conte Memorial Club in Brockton. He enjoyed summers in Falmouth, and also enjoyed golf and bowling. He was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, a member of its parish council, and was a member of the former Associate Family at Holy Cross Fathers in Easton. Survivors include a son, Michael Morano of Plymouth; two daughters, Patricia Morano of East Falmouth and Mary Frances Martins of Easton; a brother, Pasquale Morano of Revere; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Route 123), Brockton. A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed at 11 a.m. by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, West Street, Brockton. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery.
