Mr. Fortier was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed iceboating, fishing and snowmobiling with family and friends. He traveled from the Kennebec River to the Chesapeake Bay in search of striped bass, as well as fished in numerous lakes all over New England. A skilled craftsman, Mr. Fortier was the designer and inventor of many projects, and no matter how large or small the endeavor, he always took the time to get it right. Besides his mother, he leaves his children, Stephanie Fortier Mouse and her husband, Stephen, Steven Fortier, Tina Fortier Chu, Christopher Fortier and Thomas Fortier; eight grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Donna Urbach and her husband, Herbert, Renee Jabar and her husband, Joseph, John Fortier and his wife, Lisa, Linda Allen and her husband, Carl, and David Fortier; and 15 nieces and nephews.
