"Connie" Bergevin, 77, of Beth Drive in Concord, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Concord Hospital. Mrs. Bergevin was born May 12, 1930, daughter of Arthur and Angeline (Gervais) Thibeault. She was raised in Pembroke and was a 1949 graduate of Pembroke Academy. She lived for many years in Huntington Beach, Calif., before returning to New Hampshire and Concord in 1987. A homemaker, Connie was an expert knitter and made beautiful sweaters and blankets for her family. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother to her five children. She was a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma and breast cancer. Throughout her lifetime, she withstood many obstacles with grace and strength. She taught her children and grandchildren to be strong, just by her example. Her legacy to her family is her love and devotion, and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Roger L. Bergevin of Concord and her children, their spouses and grandchildren. They are: daughter, Denise and Jim Sojka of Canterbury and children, Sophia and Adam; son, Ken and Marilyn Bergevin of Bakersfield, Calif., and children, Laura, Nathaniel, Greg, Aaron, Rachel, Charles, Genevieve and Josiah; son, Tom and Cheryl Bergevin of Santa Clara, Calif., and children, Jeremy and Lynette; and daughter, Karen Bergevin of Lebanon. She is also survived by sisters, Gertrude Biron and Lucille Duford, both of Concord, and Gloria Belanger of Florida; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond, and a sister, Dorothy Mulaire. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown, led by the Rev. Edmund G. Crowley, pastor.
