BOYCE. POULTNEY, VT.--Charles New Boyce, 86, of Poultney, died Wednesday in Rutland Hospital after a brief illness. Born Jan. 20, 1872, Mr. Boyce was the son of George B. and Florence (New) Boyce. A retired farmer, he had spent much of his life here. On Sept. 10, 1901, he married the former Bertha Potter, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, George P. and William H., both of Poultney, a sister, Mrs. Daisy Boyce Brown, and two nieces, all of Plattsburgh ,N. Y.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Poultney Methodist Church, the Rev. John Mitchell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Poultney cemetery. Friends may call at the Boyce residence on Main street here Friday afternoon and evening. Transcribed by, Joan H.
