    2. Raymond V. Lemaire January 7, 1932 -- August 30, 2007 BOZRAH - Raymond Victor Lemaire of Bozrah, beloved husband, father, grandfather, humanitarian and good friend passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2007. Born Jan. 7, 1932 in Berlin, NH, the son of the late Lionel and Jeannette (Dutil) Lemaire. The family moved to Willimantic where he attended St. Mary's Catholic School and later graduated from Windham High School in June, 1950. Raymond joined the U.S. Navy on March 2, 1951 and served on the USS Waldron (DD699) until he received an Honorable Discharge on Feb. 27, 1955. He was married on July 2, 1955 to Theresa Marie Louise Fafard, daughter of Armond and Rose Fafard of Willimantic. He worked as a Manager for Benny's for over 50 years and was affectionately known as "Mr. Benny" because of his friendly nature and hospitable attitude. He also enjoyed singing and entertaining. He was a member of the Rose City Chorus and the Barbershop Quartet, and sang in hospitals and convalescent homes where he also did volunteer work for the sick and the elderly. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 wonderful years, Theresa Marie Louise (Fafard) Lemaire; his six children: William Lemaire and his wife Joni, Michael Lemaire and his wife Lorie, Robert Lemaire and his wife Robin, Ronald Lemaire, David Faford and JoAnn Lemaire; a sister: Pauline Linteau; two brothers: Richard Lemaire and Roger Lemaire; six grandchildren: Danny, Amber, Cameron, Megan, Ashley and Schyler. He was predeceased by a brother Billy Lemaire. Visitation Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Norwichtown meeting directly at the church. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at the Connecticut Veterans Administration Cemetery in Middletown, CT with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Franklin Commons, 106 Route 32, Franklin, CT 06254. Originally published September 1, 2007
