AURORE NORMANDIN - Woonsocket 01:00 AM EDT on Saturday, October 30, 2004 AURORE NORMANDIN, 100, previously of 247 Willow St., a retired bookkeeper, died Thursday in the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. Born in Woonsocket on April 13, 1904, a daughter of the late Edmond and Aldina (Girouard) Normandin, she had also lived in Cumberland for five years. Miss Normandin had worked as a bookkeeper for the former Blackstone Valley Gas & Electric Co. for 46 years, retiring in 1969. She was a volunteer at the former Oblate Retreat House, Manville. She was a member of the former Welcome Prayer group at Precious Blood Church, and an elder member of the Sculate Institute Oblate Missionary of Mary Immaculate, an order she had served for 47 years. She leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Frank Laflamme, J. Valmore Normandin, Oscar Normandin, Sister Conrad, formerly known as Leona Normandin, and Yvonne Choquette. The funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery.
