POIRIER, 107, of Oak Grove Avenue, a retired seamstress, died Thursday at the Crawford Skilled Nursing & Rehab Facility. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Deus and Rosana (Harel) Poirier, she was a lifelong resident of the city. Ms. Poirier had worked for the Department of Defense, making munitions, during World War II. She later had been a seamstress until retiring, and had devoted much of her life to the care of her late sister Laura. Ms. Poirier had been a communicant for many years of Notre Dame Church, and a member of the Catholic Woman's Club of Fall River. She enjoyed sewing and watching the quiz show Jeopardy. She leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George, Eugene, Charles, Romeo, Napoleon, Louis, Fredrick, Laura and Jenny Poirier and Julliette Desrochers. http://www.projo.com/obituaries/content/projo_20041103_obit17.1f4c7b.html
