Rita Potvin Rita Potvin 1919 - 2004 CHICOPEE - Rita May (Blanchard) Potvin, age 85 of Walton St. passed away on Saturday Nov. 13, 2004, at the Willimansett Nursing Home. Born on June 26, 1919, in Chicopee to her parents Fred Blanchard and Helen (Leary) Blanchard, she continued to be a life long resident of Chicopee. She was a communicant of Holy Name of Jesus Church. She is predeceased by her husband Gerard Potvin who passed away in March of 2003. She leaves her 2 sons Gerard Potvin of South Hadley and Robert Potvin of Chicopee and her 2 granddaughters Jennifer Potvin and Melissa Potvin both of Chicopee. Funeral will be held on Tuesday Nov. 16, 2004, at 8:30 a.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
