11/14/2004THOMAS LEE BOURDEAU JERICHO - Thomas Lee Bourdeau, 64, died peacefully after a long illness Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at his home in Jericho. He was born in Winooski, Aug. 1, 1940, son of the late Elmer and Clarissa (Savard) Bourdeau. Lee was married on Oct. 12, 1963, to Loraine Deavitt in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winooski. He was employed at IBM for over 28 years. After retiring he worked as a travel agent at Camp Johnson in Colchester. Lee was a devoted family man and fun-loving person. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, hunting, card games and sitting around the campfire. He also loved taking trips to Florida to see his close friends. Most of all, he liked spending time with his family and being a person to count on to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Loraine Bourdeau of Jericho; his three children and their spouses, Kirk Bourdeau and his wife Suzette of Richmond, Kim Bosley and her husband Bruce of Essex, Christopher Bourdeau and his wife Kele of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Benjamin, Cassandra, Arthor, Jonathon, Eva and Nicholas; one brother, Richard Bourdeau and his companion Cecile Campion of Winooski; a brother-in-law, Ed Jurkiewicz of Williston; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many close friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Gerald Bourdeau; and by three sisters, Claire Jurkiewicz, Anita O'Brien and Ann Vasseur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 12:30 p.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Vermont Division, 13 Loomis St., Montpelier, Vt. 05602; or to Hospice of the Champlain Valley, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, Vt. 05446. Visiting hours will be Monday, Nov. 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski.
