11/02/2004THEODORE E. HEMOND WEST SWANTON - Mr. Theodore E. "Ted" Hemond, 65, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in Fletcher Allen Health Center. Ted was born in St. Albans, May 3, 1939, son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy (Underwood) Hemond. He graduated from Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans and was married to Joyce Mott on Jan. 28, 1961. Most of his working career was in warehouse control at the Fonda Container Corporation, retiring in 2001. He was a lifelong communicant of Holy Angels Church and a longstanding member of the Sportsman Club of Franklin County. Ted was an avid hunter and fisherman. Besides his wife Joyce of over 43 years, he is survived by their son, John Hemond of Swanton; sisters Phyllis Parker of Brattleboro and Eleanor Austin of St. Albans; brother Thomas and his wife Paula Hemond of Highgate; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Roger on Feb. 12, 1982, and Wayne on Aug. 27, 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Hemond family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
