Philias J. Boucher FITCHBURG -- Philias J. Boucher, 61, of 27 Liberty Circle, died Saturday evening, Nov. 6, at home after an illness. He was born on Aug. 1, 1943, in St. Norbert, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Alfred and Leona M. Boucher and came to the United States in 1961. He became a U.S. citizen in 2000. Mr. Boucher was a self-employed carpenter for 25 yeras. He was a member of St. Josephs Church, the American Legion Post 429, and the St. Joseph Club, all in Fitchburg. Mr. Boucher was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1965 to 1967. He loved to read history books and treasure hunting. Besides his mother, Leona M. Boucher of Fitchburg; he leaves his wife of 36 years, Annette (Robichaud) Boucher of Fitchburg; two daughters, Jackie Boucher of Norwood and Linda Lawrence and her husband Jeffery of Fitchburg; four brothers, Leo Boucher of Leominster, Raymond Boucher of Sunapee, N.H., Hector Boucher of Ashburnham, and Herve Boucher of Fitchburg; two sisters, Lisa Bradford and her husband John of New Orleans, La. and Aurore Thebeau and her husband Jean-Guy of Fitchburg; three grandchildren, Jacob Lawrence, Noah Lawrence, and Madison Lawrence, all of Fitchburg; several godchildren; and many nieces and nephews. BOUCHER -- On Nov. 6, Philias J. Boucher, 61, of Fitchburg. The funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fitchburg. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the DVNA Hospice, 316 Nichols Road, Fitchburg, MA 01420; and may be left at the funeral home.
