    3. VICTOR L. LAPOINTE - Swansea 01:00 AM EST on Friday, November 19, 2004 VICTOR L. LAPOINTE, 91, of Swansea Mall Drive, a retired textile superintendent, died Wednesday at Highlander Nursing Home, Fall River. He was the husband of Beatrice M. (Desrosiers) Lapointe. They had been married for 66 years. Born in Limoges, Canada, a son of the late Omer and Aurore (Brisson) Lapointe, he came to this country in 1923, and had lived in Fall River before moving to Swansea 41 years ago. Mr. Lapointe had been superinendant of the loom-fixer department at the former Pepperill Mill, in Fall River, and at Quaker Fabrics for many years before retiring. He was a parishioner of St. Louis de France Church, and a 4th-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Buchan Asssembly. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Ronald V. Lapointe of Middleboro, Mass.; six daughters, Sister Claudette A. Lapointe, RJM, of Warwick, Rita B. Lefebevre of St. Peters, Mo., Claire T. Belden of Fall River, Alice M. Willard of Swansea, Muriel J. Saunders of Assonet, Mass., and Laurette A. Shabshelowitz of Westport; three brothers, Lomer, Donat and Paul Lapointe, all of Fall River; three sisters, Marie A. Dumont of Fall River, Alice Levesque in Connecticut and Cecile T. Levesque of Swansea; and 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Emile, Rene, Lionel, Jerry and Fleurange Lapointe. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffington St., Swansea. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
