John M. Minogue Sr. November 11, 2004 GRANVILLE, N.Y. - John Michael "Jack" Minogue Sr., 78, died Nov. 9, 2004, at his home. He was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Granville, the son of Michael and Mary (Reil) Minogue. He graduated from Granville High School in 1944. Mr. Minogue was president of M.T. Minogue Inc./Minogue's Beverage, a beer distributorship from 1934 through 1967. In 1967, Mr. Minogue opened his first of three retail beverage centers in Queensbury, the Saratoga Store in 1977 and Wilton in 1990. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. He was a member and former president of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Elks Club. In 1995, he was presented with the Vincent J. Parlante Award by the Empire State Beer Distributors Association for his valued and enthusiastic support and longtime membership of the association. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Charlotte (Monette) Minogue; two sons, John Minogue Jr. of Saratoga and Robert Minogue of Glens Falls; three daughters, Charlotte Minogue of Latham, Charlene Carli of Greenfield Center and Colleen Hicks of Granville; a sister, Monica Martin of Fort Johnson; nine grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Thomas Zelkar will officiate. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church.
