    3. Thursday, November 11, 2004 Raymond J. Guyon Jr. 1929-2004 BOOTHBAY HARBOR -- Raymond J. Guyon Jr. died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at his home in Boothbay Harbor. Raymond was born July 3, 1929, in Willimansett, Chicopee, Mass., the son of Raymond J. and Josephine A. (Schab) Guyon Sr. Raymond resided in South Hadley, Mass., until the 1960s, at which time he moved to Maine. He resided several years in the Augusta area before moving to the Boothbay Harbor region, where he made his final home. He served in the Navy from February 1948 to January 1953, when he was honorably discharged. Ray loved people and house painting. He had a kind and generous spirit, and he was a man who loved God. This love took him to such remote places as Africa and to Peru, where he helped to build a church in the Peruvian jungle. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and by the many people he helped. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sons, Lawrence Guyon in 1982 and Joseph Guyon in 2003. Surviving him are two daughters, Arlene Morin of Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H., and Patty Guyon of New York; a sister, Shirley Taylor of South Hadley; one niece, one nephew, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; special friends Marlene Ross of Sidney, Brian and Kim Ross and family of Fayette, Wallene Ross and family of Augusta, Darlene Little of Boothbay and Priscilla Sumabat of Whitefield. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the Maine Veterans' Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond J. Guyon Jr. may be made to Kno-Wal-Lin Homecare and Hospice, 6 White St., Rockland 04841. Arrangements are under the care of Cremation Services of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
