Monday, November 1, 2004 Carmen M. Roy 1921-2004 WATERVILLE -- Carmen M. Roy, 83, of Waterville passed away on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. For the past several years she had resided at Volmer Country Living Center in North Vassalboro. She was born on March 18, 1921, in Berlin, N.H., a daughter of Paul and Diane (Beaudoin) Fortin. She worked hard all her life as a homemaker, raising her family of six children after being left a widow at a young age. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Roy, in 1958. She was also predeceased by two sons -- Arthur Roy, who died in 1949, and Albert Roy, who died in 2003. She is survived by her children, Annette Roy, Alton Roy and his wife, Yvette, Arlene Roy, Amos Roy and his wife, Jamalyn, and Angela Anderson and her husband, Dennis; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends. Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield. Burial will be at a later date at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville.
