PATRICIA ANN (BROUILLARD) MARLAND - Coventry 01:00 AM EST on Thursday, November 18, 2004 PATRICIA ANN (BROUILLARD) MARLAND, 40, of Pembroke Lane, a legal secretary and administrative assistant, died unexpectedly Saturday at home, after a brief illness. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of Joyce (Patterson) Brouillard-Bonefont of West Warwick and the late Raymond E. Brouillard, and a stepdaughter of Joyce Matteson of Coventry and Earl Aker of West Greenwich. She had lived in West Greenwich before moving to Coventry 19 years ago. She was a 1982 graduate of North Kingstown High School, and a 1983 honors graduate of the Sawyer School, where she received a legal secretary certificate. Ms. Marland had been working as an administrative assistant at Lighthouse Computer Services, in Lincoln, for the past seven months. She previously hd worked for a Providence-based environmental services company for more than 20 years. She had played softball in the Coventry Women's Slowpitch League for 12 years, before retiring after she had back surgery. She was a great fan of NASCAR auto racing, and Number 24, Jeff Gordon, and also of Miami Dolphins football, and Dan Marino. Besides her mother and her stepparents, she leaves three daughters, Nicole, Jonna and Ashley Marland, and a stepson, Michael Parente, all of Coventry; a sister, Denise Arver of West Warwick; a brother, Edward Brouillard of Coventry; her maternal grandmother, Edna Patterson of West Warwick; a stepsister, Linda Grace of Coventry; and two stepbrothers, Earl Aker in Connecticut and Dwayne Aker of Warwick. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd. (Route 117), Warwick. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Coventry.
