    3. Jean D. Laviolette, 86, of Bellingham Monday, November 22, 2004 BELLINGHAM -- Jean D. Laviolette, 86, of Bellingham, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Lois E. (Pickering) Laviolette. Born in Franklin, the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Holmes) Laviolette, he was educated in Franklin schools and was a 1935 graduate of Franklin High School. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army where he earned the American Theatre of Operations Service Ribbon and a Good Conduct Medal. He was employed as a foreman at the former Draper Corp. in Hopedale prior to his retirement in 1976. A member of the American Legion and AARP, he enjoyed fishing and traveling. A resident of Bellingham since 1953, he had lived previously in Franklin. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Gayle L. Robinson and her husband, Christopher, of Kennebunk, Maine, and Cheryl A. Correia and her husband, Richard, of Attleboro and Brewster; two grandchildren, Kerri Robinson Groff and her husband, Douglas, of Virginia, and Kyle Robinson of Utah; two step-grandchildren, Richard Correia Jr. of New Hampshire and Stacey Wellman of Seekonk; four step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Arthur, Charles, Urban Laviolette and Elizabeth Kearnan. His funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 26, at noon at Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin. Burial with military honors will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours are Wednesday, Nov. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
