11/19/2004WILLIAM ALBERT MILLARD JERICHO - William Albert Millard, born Aug. 17, 1926, to Maurice and Genevieve Millard in Richmond, Va., died unexpectedly Nov. 17, 2004. He served in the U.S. Army 82 Airborne Division 504 Infantry during World War II, in Normandy, Sicily and at the Battle of the Bulge. He also served in the U.S. Navy. He was a foreman for Common Wealth Electric in Lincoln, Neb. After retiring, he enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling with his wife Roberta. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Roberta; his three daughters, Barbara and her husband Francis Fleming of Jericho, Edith and her husband Roy Stygles of Jericho and Mary and her husband Floyd Vine of Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Maurice and wife Bonnie Millard of Barre; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother, James Millard of Roanoke, Va. He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Genevieve Millard; brother Timothy Millard; and son Robert Millard. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction, Vt. 05452, with visiting hours Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family
