Alcide L. Bruneau Jr., 71, of Glastonbury, Conn. Tuesday, November 9, 2004 GLASTONBURY, Conn. -- Alcide L. Bruneau Jr., 71, of Glastonbury, Conn., died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004. He was the husband of Carmen (LaPierre) Bruneau. Born in Bellingham, son of the late Alcide L. Bruneau Sr. and Anna (Laferriere) Bruneau, he lived in Glastonbury since 1967. Mr. Bruneau retired from Pratt & Whitney aircraft in 1991, after 35 years as a supervisor of data center operations. He was a communicant of St. Paul Church and was a eucharistic minister for 14 years. He was a member and past president of the St. Paul Men's Club and was treasurer and member of the executive board for the past 20 years. When his sons were young, he was active with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 540. Mr. Bruneau served in the Air Force during the Korean War, from 1952 to 1956. Besides his wife, he leaves his children and their spouses, Michele and Jonathan Foote of Telluride, Colo., Neil and Heather Bruneau of Glastonbury, Conn., and Mark and Julianne Bruneau of South Bend, Ind.; two brothers and their wives, William and Evelyn Bruneau of Jupiter, Fla., and Roland and Linda Bruneau of Englewood, Fla.; and his three grandsons, Hayden Foote, Chayne and Eric Bruneau. A funeral service was Monday, Nov. 8, in Glastonbury, Conn., followed by burial with full military honors in Veterans Cemetery, East Glastonbury, Conn.
