    3. Hazel Gebo ROUSES POINT - Hazel Gebo, 89, passed away peacefully at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point, Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004. She was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Alburg, Vt., the daughter of Frank and Mary (Ratta) Turner. On Sept. 14, 1934, Hazel married Francis Gebo in St. Amadeus Church in Alburg. He predeceased her May 21, 1994. Her first son, Donald Gebo, born in 1939, died in 1940 in the hospital. She was a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a longtime parish member of St. Patrick's Church. She taught fifth grade religion for 21 years at St. Patrick's and received a beautiful plaque from Pope John Paul. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who were honored to know her. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Elaine James and husband Vernon of Alburg, Vt.; her son, Albert Gebo and wife Krystyna of Yonkers, N.Y.; two sisters, Rita Ratta and her husband Donald of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Marie Agnew and her husband Alfred Agnew of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Helene Turner of Hudson Falls, N.Y.; and a brother-in-law, Ray Jalbert and his wife Anita of Fiskdale, Mass. Hazel is also survived by grandchildren, Karen Aulis and her husband David of Alburg, Vt., Keith Mumly of Westport, N.Y., Chris James and his wife Jill of Champlain, N.Y., Robert Gebo and Bryan Gebo; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Adam Paquette and Jordan and Quinn Mumly, Samantha Lockerby and Lucas James; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, George Turner of Hudson Falls, N.Y., Donald Turner of Coopersville, N.Y., and Floyd Turner of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; a sister, Altha Jalbert of Fiskdale, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Rita Turner of Coopersville, N.Y.; and two nephews, Donnie Ratta and Gary Agnew. There will be no calling hours. Rev. Clyde Lewis will celebrate a Mass of Christian burial Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in the family vault. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point or St. Amadeus Church in Alburg, Vt. Arrangements are with the Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point.
