    3. OBITUARY OF SISTER EMILIENNE PARADIS, from the Prince Albert Daily Herald: PARADIS - Sister Emilienne Paradis, formerly Sister Cecile Yvonne of the Sisters of the Presentation, passed away on Thursday November 4th 2004 at the age of 89 in the Provincial House Infirmary at 1405 Bishop Pascal Place in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. A Prayer Service will be held from the Chapel of the Provincial House on Sunday, November 7th 2004, at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated from this same chapel on Monday, November 8th, at 4:00 p.m. by His Excellency Bishop Blaise Morand. Sister Emilienne leaves to mourn her passing: one sister, Doris [Sister Ste-Therese-Marie] of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Hudson, NH.; two sisters in-law: Louise [Ernest] Paradis of Houston, TX. and Lucienne [Raymond} of Manchester, NH.; and the members of her religious congregation. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pamphile Paradis and Yvonne [nee: Groleau]; and three brothers: Ernest, Raymond, and Rene Paradis. Born April 28th 1915 in Manchester, NH., Emilienne grew up and received her education there. In 1934, after her religious training, here first assignment was to teach in Berlin, NH. In 1941, she came to Western Canada and was stationed at Wakaw SK. where she studied and taught voice, piano, and violin at the Sisters Music Studio. She was then transferred to Marcelin SK. in 1951 and to Prince Albert in 1965. In 1972, she took over the responsibility of the Music Studio at Riviere Academy [Prince Albert]. Sister retired from teaching in April 1988. Sister Emilienne kept close contact with many former students; she remembered each and everyone with fondness. Several of these students have become professional musicians. Sister will certainly be remembered for her untiring devotion to youth in the field of music. Her favorite saying, "The peace within becomes the harmony without", truly depicts Sister Emilienne as she was known by her many students, colleagues, Sisters and her devoted caregivers. She was an instrument of peace. Gray's Funeral Chapel entrusted with arrangements [306] 922-4729. *********************
