RAYMOND J. ROBITAILLE - Woonsocket 01:00 AM EST on Thursday, November 11, 2004 RAYMOND J. ROBITAILLE, 80, of Daytona Beach, Fla., formerly of Woonsocket, a retired employee of the John Hancock Co., died Saturday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Born on June 1, 1924, in Woonsocket, a son of the late Romulus and Olivina Robitaille, he had lived in Woonsocket before moving to Daytona Beach 20 years ago. Mr. Robitaille had worked for John Hancock in Rhode Island for 35 years. He had also been a real estate broker from 1974 to 1984. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from June 1943 to January 1946, and received several commendations for his service. He was a past member of American Legion 270, VFW Post 1590 of Port Orange, Fla., and the Disabled American Veterans and Knights of Columbus in Rhode Island. Mr. Robitaille was a member of Our Lady of Hope, Port Orange. He enjoyed playing cards, socializing, and going to Scarborough beach. He leaves a son, Roland Robitaille of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Rose Choquette of Greenville, Rachel Robitaille of Tucson, Ariz., and Rita Girard of Woonsocket; his former wife, Lillian Robitaille; and five grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Leo, Lucien and Normond Robitaille.
