Marguerite E. (Duquette) Ference FERENCE Marguerite E. (Duquette) Ference, age 82, of Virginia, died on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, in Virginia. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Ference. Born in Woonsocket, R.I., she was a longtime Westport resident before moving to Culpeper, Va., While in Connecticut, she was a member of the St.Thomas Ladies Guild and a Fairfield Prep Ladies Guild. In Virginia she was in charge of "altar" care at St. John's Catholic Church in Orange, and was a member the Garden Club of Greene County and Culpeper Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Joseph A. Ference and Charles R. Ference; two daughters, Marguerite M. Spera and Patricia J. Burns; three brothers, Gerald Duquette of Westport, Carl Duquette of Florida, and Louis Duquette of Old Saybrook; three sisters, Rita Greene of Saugatuck, Edna Decker of Westport, and Marion Hall of Rhode Island; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, at 9:15 a.m. from the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road, at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, in Fairfield.
