James T. Turcotte Wednesday, November 10, 2004 James T. Turcotte, 84, a resident of Chelmsford for over 40 years, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at D'Youville Senior Care in Lowell. He was the husband of Ethel (Bailey) Turcotte. Born in Pawtucket, R.I. on Dec. 14, 1919, he was the son of the late Archibald and Theresa (McGoff) Turcotte. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Prior to retirement he was employed as the manager of Care Cleaners of Chelmsford. Mr. Turcotte was a member of the Woodworker's Club, a former member of the Merrimac Valley Chorale and a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Ralph Turcotte of Beverly; a daughter, Noor Ahmed and her husband Afhan of Milton, N.H.; a stepdaughter, Diane Shamas and her husband Kenneth of Chelmsford; a stepson, Barry McKinnon of Brookline; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Sister Helen Turcotte of Holyoke; a brother, Paul Turcotte of Atlanta, Ga. and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, Nov. 8 at St. Mary's Church in Chelmsford. Cremation to follow.
