WOOD: Martha Bishop, 87 Monday November 15, 2004 WOOD: Martha Bishop, 87, of Bethlehem Road, Bethlehem, N.H., passed away, Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, N.H. Martha was born a daughter to Harry J. and Elizabeth (Laflamme) Bishop, Aug. 3, 1917, in Bethlehem, N.H. Martha was a 1934 graduate of Bethlehem High School, graduated from Colby Junior College and then went on to graduate from Keene State College with a teaching degree. She taught elementary school for the Landaff Blue School, West Lebanon School District, and Lakeway Elementary School District for a teaching career of over 30 years. Martha was active for many years in the Littleton Squares square dance club as well as the Bethlehem Country Club. She was a member of the Congregational Church in Littleton. Surviving family members include one son, Jon Wood and his wife Lori; three grandchildren, Christopher, Lindsay and Skylar, all of Littleton, N.H.; and one stepson, Richard Wood of Cornish, N.H. Her husband, Robert Wood, predeceased her in 1998. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Littleton Teacher Association College Fund, in care of Jennifer Carbonneau, Daisy Bronson School, Littleton, NH 03561. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union St., Littleton, with the Rev. Ed. Lopeman officiating.
