Maurice J. Mercier Dracut-Maurice J. Mercier, 82, of Dracut, died Mon., Nov. 8th at his daughter's home in Florida following a brief illness. He was the husband of Constance L. (Beaudoin) Mercier with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. He was born in Lowell, Dec. 19, 1921, son of the late Joseph O. and Anna (Laverdiere) Mercier. He attended St. Louis Elementary School and graduated from Lowell High School. Mr. Mercier was an Air Force Veteran of WWII and a member of the Dracut American Legion, Leo. C. Roth Post. He was a communicant of St. Louis Parish, and a recent communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. He was employed by the Bridge Table Corp. of Lowell for more than 28 years, and later with Agfa Corp. of Wilmington from which he retired. Besides his wife, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, George Mercier and his wife, Catherine, of North Carolina; a daughter, Gabrielle and her fiance, Scott Bamia of Florida; three sisters, Maria Faucher of Nashua, N.H., Jeannette Barry, and Sister Lucille Mercier both of Lowell; a granddaughter, Sarah Mercier and her husband, James, of Lowell; a grandson, Tanner Mercier of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
