Thursday, November 4, 2004 Joseph Robert Gaudette, 73 WESTBROOK - Joseph Robert Gaudette, 73, of Brackett Street, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at Springbrook Health Care, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Westbrook, where he was raised and educated, the son of Richard and Agnes Gallant Gaudette. Joseph served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, he was stationed in Reykjavik, Iceland. He worked at the S.D. Warren Paper Co., for many years, retiring in 1981. He was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Erkelens Gaudette of Westbrook; two sons, Stephen and his wife, Beth, and Rob and his wife, Karen, all of Gorham; a sister, Mrs. Raymond Pinet of Hollis; and four grandchildren, Ashley, Julia, Kaitlin, and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 7-9 p.m., Thursday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday at St. Anne's Church in Gorham. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Springbrook for their excellent care.
