    3. 11/22/2004ROBERT JEAN SHACKETT SHOREHAM - Robert Jean Shackett of Shoreham died Sunday morning, Nov. 21, at home with his family. He was born June 19, 1936, in Shoreham, the son of Quentin and Clarice (Couture) Shackett. He went to school in Shoreham, and joined the Air Force in 1955, as an airplane mechanic during the Korean Conflict. He later worked for Brush Motors in Middlebury. Upon meeting his future wife, Jean E. Doane, they were married on June 2, 1962, in Shoreham, where he became a dairy farmer, father, grandfather, and he was also a Shoreham volunteer fireman for over 30 years. His surivors include his wife, Jean, of 42 years; and four daughters, Karen Shackett of Shoreham; Cathy Eddy and her husband Chuck and son, Chas of Orwell; Patty Thornton and her husband Mike and their children, Cassidy and Colby of Fairhaven; Heidi Lanpher and her husband Ed and their children, Chelsea and Dylan of Shoreham; sisterin-law, Susan Doane and her friend, Rick Bellamy of Amsterdam, N.Y. He is surived also by his father Quentin of Shoreham; two brothers, Bill Shackett and his wife Marlene of Burlington, and Tom of South Caroline; a sister, Brenda Smith and her husband Burton of Fort Edward, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. in St. Genevieve's Church in Shoreham. There will be no calling hours. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Addison County Home Health; or the Shoreham Fire Department. Funeral arrangements are made by Sanderson's Funeral service.
