RITA A. (CARON) DUPHILY - Somerset 01:00 AM EDT on Sunday, October 31, 2004 RITA A. (CARON) DUPHILY, 82, of Read Street, a homemaker, died Friday at Morton Hospital, Taunton, Mass. She was the wife of the late Rene A. Duphily Sr. Born in Acushnet, Mass., a daughter of the late Eloi and Melvina (Lajeuness) Caron, she had lived in Swansea for many years before moving to Somerset. A founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Swansea, she had also been a CCD instructor, and a member of the Women's Guild, and the Senior Club. Mrs. Duphily was also a member of the Royal Travelers in Swansea. She was an enthusiastic cook. She leaves two sons, Rene Duphily Jr. of Swansea and Louis Duphily of Ashburnham, Mass.; a daughter, Denise Rowe of Swansea; a brother, Conrad Caron, and a sister, Aurore Bettencourt, both of New Bedford; and seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was the sister of the late Eloi Caron and Gertrude Cloutier. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Chapel of St. Michael's Parish, 532 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
