10/31/2004LUCILLE M. ORVIS BRISTOL - Lucille M. Orvis, 78, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born April 20, 1926, in Fairfield, the daughter of Arthur J. and Helen (Tourangeau) Bessette. Lucille enjoyed sewing, gardening, her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Otto V. Orvis, on June 1, 1990. Lucille is survived by three children, Van and his wife Judy Orvis of Clinton, S.C., Ross and his wife Donna Orvis of Hinesburg, Leah Orvis of Bristol; three grandsons, Jared, Jesse and Matthew; great-grandson, Shawn; brother, Donald Bessette of St. Albans; and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 1, at 11a.m. in the Brown McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, Bristol, Vt. 05443.
