LEON J. DUPRAS SR. - Central Falls 01:00 AM EST on Sunday, November 7, 2004 LEON J. DUPRAS SR., 87, of Garfield Street, a retired engineer, died Friday at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket. He was the husband of the late Corinne E. (Wilson) Dupras. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Philias and Clara (Moreau) Dupras, he was a lifelong resident of Central Falls. Mr. Dupras had been an engineer at the former Fram Corp., Rumford, for over 40 years before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a 47-year member of American Legion Post 33, Lincoln. Mr. Dupras was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing at Stone-E-Lea Golf Course, Attleboro. He leaves two brothers, Arthur Dupras of South Grafton, Mass., and Philip Dupras of Central Falls; three grandchildren, Brenda L. Buttach, Cindy L. Calabro and Tracy A. Dupras, all of Pawtucket; and four great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Leon J. Dupras Jr., and brother of the late Eugene Dupras. A funeral with military honors will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Sacred Heart Church, 38 Park St., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
